See All ReviewsI had a great experience at Mi Casa Restaurant. The food was genuinely authentic, and you can tell care goes into the preparation. The flour tortillas stood out; fresh, soft, and full of flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Another big plus is the plenty of free parking, which makes stopping in easy and convenient. Overall, a solid spot for good Mexican food and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mi Casa Restaurant offers a clean, comfortable setting and the staff was polite and welcoming, which I appreciated. The food itself was decent, but nothing really stood out as memorable or exceptional. It was okay, just not the best I’ve had, especially considering the price point. Compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area, the portions and overall value felt a little lacking for what you’re paying. One small thing that stood out was the chips served at the table—they were very limited, and it wasn’t clear if refills were included. I was also a bit surprised that there’s no soda fountain, only canned sodas. I recommend the tea, you get refills. None of these issues are major on their own, but together they did affect the experience. While I don’t see myself coming back, I’m not discouraging others from trying it. Everyone’s tastes are different, and some may enjoy it more than I did. For me, it just didn’t quite live up to expectations, and I left feeling somewhat disappointed rather than satisfied.
Mi Casa was walking distance from our hotel. Mi Casa is a seat yourself place. We arrived around noon and it was very busy. Service is slow but the food was worth the wait. I had the country ranchero bkfst taco and my wife had the migas taco. Both overfilled on handmade tortillas were super tasty. You need to ask for chips & salsa, again worth it for the in house made chips. Salsa was flavorful and just enough heat. Decent prices. 2 tacos, a coke & a coffee was $10+/- If you’re in this area of San Antonio I recommend you try Mi Casa.
